If I can get it cheap enough for them, yet at the same time--nice enough.
However, the HUB is a smoking pile of turd. Nothing works there, and as expected, neither does the price listings for CM discounts. So, I call Disney's 407 number, just like Jim Bob's plumin' service, it's not a 1-800 number. Once again, due to Disney being a Ma' or and Pop company, they were closed when I called. However, I expect nothing major from CRO.
How does one find any semblance of a plan for an October stay? Pretty open on resorts. Anything but the All-Star and Pop ghetto. Any time in October, ~5 days.
Anyone know how to go about this?

Unfortunately You are probably stuck doing what us "normal folks" have to do for every trip. Make many calls to CRO at exactly 7am eastern time until the amount of any potential discounts and savings equals the long distance charges. At least you have the advantage that being in the proper time zone you are not having to get up at 4am like our west coast friends wishing to make that call to CRO exactly at opening time.Switchbeam 9 wrote:If I can get it cheap enough for them, yet at the same time--nice enough.

I have found that if you can't be pressing the last phone numeral at precicely 7am you need to wait about 15 min to let the first crush of callers to get clear.
BTW if you hate the "press one" tree as much as I do you may like my recent discovery. If you simply refuse to press any number or wish to quit the insanity once you have begun, just sit there quietly and when it recognizes that you aren't going to play the game, it slips you directly into the cue. So the first time you have to answer a question. it will be with an actual human being. :D: It is also very handy to know exactly what you want or what to ask (even down to knowing the magic words or phrases) as most of the time, if you don't ask (or use the wrong words) you will never get what you want, only what management has decided to push this week.
For example I like to tent camp at FtW. But if I call CRO they first try to book one of the cabins. Then when I insist I want to camp in my tent they try to book me into the "full hookup-preferred" sites with cable TV, phone lines, sewer hookup, etc (all for RVs) and at about double the cost of what I want. If I stick to my guns and use the magic phrase "partial hookup" they will give in and let me stay in a site that has a good place to set up my tent and no un-needed extras. ;)
Randy (who recently completed the CRO wrestling match for his upcoming Oct visit to WDW)
PS to all the WDW CMs: Beware I will be visiting for much of Oct and will be proudly wearing a SGT button (if not my new SGT hat) in hopes of meeting some of you.

Face the facts which are that nothing in Disney is easy. From playing a game to reporting a problem. I have been trying for weeks to get my main account reconized. Nothing is easy so do not expect to get simple answers.
It is best to use the Brand X boards and Passporter for planning the trip. Assume you might get discounts and you might not. The worst thing is that you have to spend all that time on the phone even if you are calling long distance. If they had to pay for the calls then you would get answers. If you can then make a list of questions and have someone local call and ask the questions.

While not a CM, I booked my latest trip on the phone with 0 problems, other them pushing dining on me (I'm not like cm's and tips, after the third refusal, I will NOT take it, I keep refusing, unless you want to give me free stuff), I didn't have any issues. I also used my company provided voip phone (I have one at work) so I didn't pay long distance.
