Record Card

Post by mickminn » Sat Jul 09, 2011 11:17 am

Through my own stupidity (Not paying attention to the correct date) I signed up for an EEH shift and the very next day had to cancel.
Because it was less than 48 hrs, deployment couldn't cancel the shift and instead I had to call out.
How long before that notation will rotate off my record card?

A call out is 3 points & falls off your report card after a year. WDW may be diff than DLR.

Yep, it's the same as a call out for any shift.

Now what's funny is when your program end date gets changed on you and you can't cancel your EHHs you had signed up for on the hub...

Didn't Traditions trainer or some other CM go over this basic material during training? It's hit hard @ DLR. P T CMs can get 24 points then they are Termed. F T CMs are termed @ 34. I freak when I have 9 points per yr. Try Never to let your points become more than 12 or so. Just MHO.

Yes they did MainStreeter....I just don't recall if it was mentioned how long before the points rolled off.
I'm really mad at myself for letting that happen...I take my reposibility to be on time and work my schedule and not call out unless absolutely necessary very serious. So something stupid like getting the dates mixed up really makes me crazy.

Don't be too hard on yourself mickminn. You sound responsible. We all have unexpected crises, freeway tie up, short illness, or just a Dau moment. :banghead: . I was very upset last year because of a dog bite night before a holiday shift. NOT MYdog! Had to call out. No choice. Later a manager sat me down & said; "No more beating yourself up. Why do you think we have the point system? Use it wisely, but use it." Made sense & was easier to cope. K? :)

Thanks for the kind words MainStreeter!
:)
You can bet from now on I'll be OCD checking that calendar before signing up for another shift!
