Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

I have this job and I hate it.
The idea just makes me shudder.
I have to work and I hate it,
I wonder if I could call off sick?

It's just so hard
to get off the couch.
I just can't deal with those people tonight.
I have to work and I hate it!

*Bows*
Thank you!
Sounds like it's time to warm up the resume.

Trust me, it's been fired off a lot lately. Hoping something will come threw, I'll take a small pay cut for the price of not committing homicide!

I know what you mean. I got laid off at the end of May (I got a new job which starts on the 18th..)

The weird thing is, it was probably one of the best things to ever happen to me (mental health wise, at least).

I was ready to climb into the bell tower with a high power rifle at any minute.

Be forewarned...

The SGs will follow you wherever you go. There is no escape.

I almost always have a second "project" and the situations change
but the endless stream of SG stunts continue.

The closest to a perfect situation was when I had my own small
business and could tell anyone I didn't like to get the hell out of my
shop. Downright theraputic. But nothing good ever lasts.

If you ever stop and ask yourself: "How do they dress themselves?"
Congratulations and welcome to my world.

Finding a job where you don't interact with the public and refuse to enter the phone will admittedly hamper your income, but on the upside it minimizes SG stunts in your life. :D:

Wait a minute. My grape flavor packet is clear. Bah. takes sip It's flavored like WHITE GRAPE JUICE! Noooo! :ewww:

WooooooHooooooo!

A call finally came threw and as of next Wednesday, I'm completely free of "The most unprofessional, worst company I've ever had the misfortune to work for"!

Thank the higher powers! Because I was either going to kill someone by going postal or finally breakdown and just quit without something lined up. Yes, it really WAS that bad.

I'm free! I'm free!

This calls for a drink and a celebration! :D:

Yea, leaving crappy work situation! Wanna clue us in as to what it was?

Been there, done that. It's great to be able to get out of a crappy situation on your own terms. Good luck on the new job!

It wasn't a theme park, although I can tell you my indentured service time working for theme parks was far more enjoyable then my last job! I'd rather work at a park then ever deal with the endless drama, chaos and total joke of a company this last job was!
Thank god, now my phone won't ring 1-4 times per day (while I'm sleeping since I'm on night shift) to "Pick up" extra work. They are so bad, let me give you a minor list of complaints!
-They are understaffed since they can't keep any new people. The pay is crap, my new starting pay is higher then my 3 years of raises all togther. The office staff rotates constantly, in 3 years we've had: 2 Directors, 2 Field Supervisors and 7 Schedulers. They'll over-work and burn you out, if they can't get you to over-work they'll harasses you non-stop (1-4 times per day "Will you pick up? No! Twenty minutes later cause you MIGHT have changed your mind this repeats.) They ignore the fact your on vacation and call you to work (Sure, if your gonna buy my plane ticket, pay for the rental car, pay for me to work for two hours and my plane ticket back!). If your sick and have a doctors note saying "No, she's SICK and needs X days off to stop being contagious" they will ignore it and then wonder why you didn't report for a shift. None of the office staff can read at all, you give them a copy of your college class schedule and they will always call you while your in class to pick up shifts also while your in class.

That's just a small piece of what I've dealt with. I could rant for hours over the crap they've pulled.
This is home healthcare company in Western PA.

I've never been so glad in my entire life to turn in notice! Suppressing the will to just immediately resign was very hard, I could use a few days off since I haven't had one in two weeks.

Thanks everyone, it's nice to know I'm free as of next Wednesday!
