Scientists tie Colorado River flooding to San Andreas quakes

True Californians believe that when the Big One hits the first thing east of California will be Europe.

On the USGS site, they say there's a chance, I think 66%, of a major quake between now and 2032. But it's more likely to hit Northern California than Southern. This guy says because of the water in Salton Sea is pressing on the Imperial Fault, it could trigger a big one here in SoCal. Well, if you go to the USGS site, it shows lots of activity along the Imperial Fault, from the Mexican border to Riverside County.

Note: They have permanently removed the map of 24 hour aftershock forecasting for California; go to http://www.usgs.gov , click on earthquakes on the right side box, then refine to California; scroll down to Recent Earthquake Activity and click on it. There are links for other maps on the left as well as the bottom of the page.
