question for cast members
Re: question for cast members
I think that was like Paul Lynde's last major role. I can still remember the newspaper story about his sudden passing. And what's really creepy is that a couple of my roommates watch this show, don't know the title, think it's animated, but one of the major characters sounds like Paul Lynde.

Quite possible. Paul did a lot of voices, including regular roles in the animated series:felinefan wrote:I think that was like Paul Lynde's last major role. "Where's Huddles?";
"The Perils of Penelope Pitstop";
and the highly forgettable "Cattanooga Cats".
He was no Paul Frees, but he did get around.

He was a lot like Gilbert Gottfried in that respect -- lots of roles, but same, unmistakeable voice. Wasn't he Templeton the rat in Charlotte's Web?Zazu wrote:Quite possible. Paul did a lot of voices, including regular roles in the animated series:

For Randy, For Bonny, For Chris...

Read his bio earlier. The guy that voices the alien in American Dad--finally saw what was going on the other day when my roomies were watching--did model his voice on Lynde's. It's very popular for voice artists. I remember him as Slyvester Sneekly/The Hooded Claw in the Perils of Penelope Pitstop. I think Templeton the rat in Charlotte's Web was made for his voice.

That's probably "American Dad". Roger the alien was based off of Paul Lynde voice. So, it's no coincidence.
EDIT: Dang it! You popped in and "ninja'd" the answer while I was writing...
In a weird connection to the "first concert" list on the ADD thread. It's because of Paul Lynde that I got to go to that Kiss concert.
Kiss appeared on the "Paul Lynde Halloween Special" in 1976. I was allowed to buy my first album (Kiss - Destroyer) and later attend the concert because if they were on a show with Paul Lynde, they must be ok.
I was also allowed to listen to Alice Cooper because of his appearance on "The Muppet Show".

Clearly, Kiss and Alice Cooper were more publicity savvy than I ever gave them credit for.

You don't necessarily need seniority or experience to work at Haunted Mansion, college program & international college program people work there. You probably do have to be super lucky though.
