actually...it's more like little Dragon fat......

Not to get TMI (too late!!!), but I have this delightly little pudge that child #2 left me with.....the bastard! lol ;) I say that with all love...... He's a good boy, just made me gain and retain weight I did not want. I looked awesome after I had Amy.....went right back to [almost] the size I was prior to getting pregnant. But after I had Kyle, I was never able to loose it (I blame it on having them too close together).

So....now I just have to work on it.....ugh.

Hobie, I understand....I don't think the elliptical has actually moved in well over a year. Poor, neglected thing.....

That'll last a couple weeks. Then it gets better.

Heard Dennis Miller talking with Norm McDonald on the radio last week. McDonald said he'd been a vegetarian for the past year.

Miller: You're eating vegetarian?

McDonald: Yeah. I mean, I'm not dogmatic about it. I still eat fish.

...and chicken...

...and beef...

I'd like some info on where you got them, because I lost my cast iron stomach at about the same age. :paranoid:

Then this year I started adding laziness to my regimen and I gained 9 pounds! :D Jubilations!
I never gained weight until I started dieting in my late twenties (the really stupid part is, my weight was well within norms for my height back then :banghead: ). Eventually it dawned on me that my "binges" (meal at BK) were smaller than my regular meals before (I could no longer down a shake or fries with my burger), and of course my calories were way below former-normal while not binging (I was not much of a binger), so I quit dieting. At which point my weight stabilized, but it's never dropped back down.

Does seem to be a connection between weight and exercise, though -- realized recently my weight's been going up and I think it's because I crashed and burned after a bout of chemo followed by emergency (unrelated) surgery. I'm fine now, but I think I need to get back up to speed on the exercise thing!

I enjoy bike riding and I need to ride more, spent good money on a nice bike and I haven't ridden it nearly enough. Are there any bike/hiking trails in your area? I live near one that I enjoy riding on. I live close enough to bike there, and have, but have taken to driving there with my bike on the back of the car as I have to cross a very busy intersection which I don't feel safe biking across.
There is one nearby, but I don't know how far it goes. I looked in a book on bike trails, but there aren't many that are close enough. Even did a Google search--nada.

In my youth, I would walk miles. I think the farthest I've walked is from Fashion Island to Laguna Beach via the PCH. Or maybe it was that one time I walked from Los Angeles Valley College to home when we lived in Shadow Hills --part of Sunland--then walked up Foothill Blvd. to both of my then part-time jobs--the first cleaning the church I was attending, then a few doors down to clean a counseling center. Then walking back home--I didn't get home until after midnight. And you'd better believe my legs, butt and back hurt for days afterward! I didn't have a bus pass nor enough money for bus fare is why. I was in my early 30s at the time. Don't think I can do it today.
