Free VM appearance

Post by BRWombat » Fri May 20, 2011 10:41 am

This won't affect most of you, but there is a rare opportunity to see the Vocal Majority for free for anyone in range of Dallas coming up in a week, on Saturday, May 28. We'll be appearing on the main stage at the Dallas City Arts Festival at Fair Park beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The whole event is free, with all of the Fair Park Museums open at no charge, and lots of exhibits and entertainment. There's also a fireworks show Saturday night. There is a fee for parking, or you can ride the DART green line to Fair Park.

Main website is here, performer line-up is here. Y'all come!

You don't have to skip paying bills to attend this, it's FREE!

I think to fill up the 'Burb it would probably take a week's worth of overtime, and that's just one-way. It burns more when you have to pack extra coolers for beverages...

BRWombat after reading an obituary in my local paper I am wondering if you knew one of my Dad's friends from VM. I'm not sure when exactly he was with the group but he did win 10 international awards with them.

Feel free to PM me with the name, but I likely didn't know him. This group is family, so we keep track of and are notified of illnesses and passing of former members. We've had a couple recently, but I didn't personally know either of them.
