The people who like to trickle through the line
So I was waiting for Star Tours yesterday, only 30 minutes, so not bad, and I was in the outdoor queue. There were a couple of Brazilian people in front of me, and from behind me a couple more come through to join the group. So I'm like, well ok, 3 isn't a big deal. Then one more, then a couple minutes later, 2 more, then 3 more. I said "I could understand 2 or 3, but 10?!" and the guy looks back and says "We are 10"
REALLY? Your group has only been trickling through for the past ten minutes!
It bugged me, I just wanted to post that.

If I understood your post correctly, you had a right to be more than just bugged. Okay, I can understand a father and a child being joined by mom and maybe another child. However, more than a couple of people joining the group? Sorry, but that becomes line-jumping in my book. There is a limit to how many one should be able to save a place in line for, if any.5th Dimension wrote:So I was waiting for Star Tours yesterday, only 30 minutes, so not bad, and I was in the outdoor queue. You know, when I saw the topic, I thought it would be about people who like to go slowly through the queuing area, looking at all the details. I'm one of those people, but if I really wanted to stop and look at something, I would let those behind me pass through rather than hold them up...but that's one for a different thread, I think.

Re: The people who like to trickle through the line
There was almost a riot once at Test Track when a group of teens- had to be at least two dozen- showed up to meet two people 'holding their place' in line. The CM at the head of the line looked like he had no idea what he should do, he just let them all go through.
People were not amused. I felt for the CM, wished he'd had back up nearby to help him deal with the situation in a way that didn't tick off the rest of his queue! I swear he looked like he wanted to cry, I wanted to give him a hug.
The rudeness is just, well, if they really did give out SG awards one of the leading catagories would have to be "Best innocent expression while jumping the line..." Then I'd say, smack the recipient over the head with it as part of the ceremony :D

Ooooh oooh ooh, I'd LOVE to attend that ceremony. What other awards can we give? How about... "Most original attempt to fake an extra 2 inches on child's height"February wrote:The rudeness is just, well, if they really did give out SG awards one of the leading catagories would have to be "Best innocent expression while jumping the line..." That would be tough. I have personally seen kids have a "growth spurt" from inserting dry-ice-cold Popsicles in their shoes. Bet that kid had blisters for the rest of the week.seeing_eye_child wrote:What other awards can we give? How about... "Most original attempt to fake an extra 2 inches on child's height"

Most Epic Fail to use soap/and or anti-perspirant before attending a Nighttime Spectacular...
Largest cloud of smoke to choke nearby guests during aforementioned Nighttime Spectacular...
I could go on for days, people. Days. Seeing Eye Child and Disneymom, love both of yours! I would add 'quickest induction of migraine in fellow guest by holding spinny-neon toys in their face even after they ask you politely to stop'... (yes, it's happened to me. More than once.)

Best use of "I paid a lot of money..." in an unscripted event?
