It depends what type of ride you like.
I think the different ride operators all like different rides.
some like kiddie and some prefer major attractions. once you get approved for the ride department, train in a few different types and see which you like better. you might be suprised in what you like. I know people that work the darkrides and would never want anything else and some that would never leave a major attraction.
I worked both when I was with a carnival a long time ago. I like most all types. at least the rides at Disney are mounted to the ground. in the carnival. you helped setup your ride when you got there, and helped take it down when you left. and if you could drive a semi tractor, you took your ride with you. and if you were a permament employee you cleaned and fixed your ride in the off season too.

I think it depends on the person. I work at Great Movie Ride and MuppetVision, and I love it there

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Better start putting in your time soon. That's the most requested role in the park, and probably on property. Could take years of seniority just to get an audition there.

Mansion over here is pretty popular too. Tower as well. Both Seniority attractions.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

If I had landed in Attractions, I would have liked to go for Jungle Cruise Skipper.

Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

stupid question - does it make your eyes really sensitive working in there - after you finish your shift and step out into the daylight - does the light hurt your eyes?

A little off topic but,

Does WDW employ Engineers? Specifically Electrical or Systems Engineers?

I'm getting kind of sick of these Michigan winters :p

They definitely hire electricians in central shops. Ride and show plus Imagineering hire EEs (really any type of bachelor degree engineering) but those jobs are incredibly hard to get. Check out http://waltdisneyworld.jobs
