Wow. Not only in the Our Gang comedies back then, but I remember him best as Perry White in the '78 Superman movie with Christopher Reeve. Rest in peace, Chief.

"Great Cesar's Ghost! Don't call me Chief!" He did a great performance as the gruff, but lovable newspaper man.
