Now that is what I love about SGT. Were this Board X, this thread would have to be closed because we were in a screaming war... or some of you might be.

Goofyer, I think they were having grammatical fun with you. Honestly, I don't care about the differences they were making a big deal about. I get the feeling that Zazu was, as much as anything, making fun of the big deal that we make of things like that around here. I, for one, had actually stopped reading this thread because I just didn't care, until I saw your post. Mass, volume, weight, the speed of light down to the foot per jiffy... All that stuff doesn't make a whole lot of difference to me, but I am glad that there are people working on computers somewhere, working out the theory, so that I can drive down the road, walk into a building, go on theme park rides and more, without having to worry about my safety, and save my danger for going bungee jumping, sky diving or screaming down a zipline. Won't that be a sight!

There is no need for a time out here, for anyone.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Funny, I was thinking the same thing as I read through this the last few days. Anywhere else, some young, smart alec comment from a kid would have thrown the place into a flame war with eveyone taking up sides.

Amazing, when you make a home for us semi literate, marginally inteligent, reasonable people, we can have civil dicsussions when we disagree. :D:

I haven't really taken a time out. That was just a figure of speach.

Frankly, I was totally uneffected by it until the second post telling me that I was "confusing" engineers by my improper usage of Mass vs. Volume. It was just to big an opening for me to pass up without creating enemies. I was a little upset that it became an issue to begin with...but that's another story and a very minor one, indeed!

But... without flame wars we miss out on all the ironically amusing "You're an idiut" type of comments!
