Cheshire Figment wrote:If they do institute this, I would like to see a strictly enforced policy of if you arrive more than 15 minutes after the reserved time you will find your reservation has been canceled.
The only exception is if the attraction is 101 during the time of your reservation, and then an adjustment will be made.
This is where I could see a potentially huge problem. If something went down for hours..we'd have a huge problem.
RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

Picture, if you will, the ticket booth to the left of the entrance being a FP machine.
Because at one small point in time they were considering it. It never made it past the "What attractions could we test this in", but it was an idea.
A good photograph means knowing where to stand

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

I thought Eisner was gone, yet this screams of the vacation micromanagement he seemed to push for. Reserving ride times from home is one of the worst ideas I have heard. It is worse than fastpass which was bad enough. I would love to return to the days where you didn't plan every second of every day out before you even leave home. I can handle getting restaurant seating in advance, even if I don't end up wanting that food when that day arrives because it has allowed me to get into places I wouldn't otherwise. Fastpass is extremely annoying in the way it makes the parks feel more crowded and extends standby ride times, but I can deal with it. Reserving ride times is just too much and the idea should be stomped out right this second. The person that thought of this should be axed as well because they will most likely think of other brilliant ideas to make every second of vacations planned. What's next reserved park entry times?
There's no place like 127.0.0.1

It's great that they thought of an idea like that... but the company should have never run with it.
There's also something to the rest of this story (I can't find it now, I think Doctor McKey might have the article of what all this FastPass reservation system is a part of) that sounds like a very bad idea. This system, I saw partially in use this weekend, as I had a friend in the Princess Half Marathon. She had a RFID tag on her shoe, and I got text messages following her along the course. It was fascinating to watch as I received a text message every time she crossed a checkpoint, but that is what they essentially want to do with guests and Cast.

We'll all eventually be living in a Minority Report like world some day. The only defense is either aluminum foil hats or Cool Dude Sunglasses.

I'll have to opt for the aluminum foil hat. You've obviously got Cool Dude Sunglasses covered.

Totally brah. You gotta have Cool Dude Sunglasses on Maui. Otherwise the sun will fry your eyeballs. Besides, it's too hot to wear a tinfoil hat.

Just like Florida, except for the part about being miserable in July. And if you think the rest of Florida is miserable in July, spend two hours in the evening on the Polynesian Monorail Platform, standing mere feet above one of these:

You should take a long coat hangar and marsh mellows to work.
