Future visitors to Walt Disney World will be able to reserve ride times from their home computers and bypass hotel check-in desks once they arrive at the resort, the head of the Walt Disney Co.'s global theme-park division said during an investors conference Thursday.
I hope that they set it up so you can only reserve a limited number of rides per day and only at one park per day, or some other way to restrict it. The FastPass system is set up such that you can't get another one until your FastPass window opens or two hours pass, whichever comes first. It'd be nice if people who are on the Disney Death March can't reserve each attraction one after another, and then scream and yell when they show up a little bit late and demand to be admitted.
Otherwise, it's just going to become like Disney Dining. People multiple-booking and then choosing which restaurant they want on the "day of", thereby keeping others from reserving those same slots. (Have they done anything to alleviate that?)
Besides, from a business standpoint, if you didn't go on something once, then maybe you'd want to return to WDW again later. Are they trying to discourage repeat visits?
