But they totally would do this too if they thought they could make a profit. Bastards.
I won't touch the iPad till it gets Flash Capability. In the meantime, if I feel the desire for a tablet, which I probably won't anytime soon since I'm likely to be laid off this week, I'll be getting an Andriod based tablet. Those get Flash.

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I use the skyfire browser on both the ipad and iphone to view flash content. Works fine, AND gets around geoblocking from the network web sites.ktulu wrote:I don't miss flash on my iPad.

*Mutters in a corner about Flash's superior game development over HTML 5, and being laid off and hating Steve Jobs for trying to kill her career as a Dev.*

I understand your position. And frankly do not understand Apples obstinance about it. They are control freaks. And I'm sure they will find a way to block workarounds like skyfire, which seek to usurp their control.Mayonnaise wrote:*Mutters in a corner about Flash's superior game development over HTML 5, and being laid off and hating Steve Jobs for trying to kill her career as a Dev.*

Re: New from Apple....
I think I can explain why they won't put flash on these devices, whether or not it makes sense is another story...At some point in time, Steve Jobs decided that he didn't want any form of adult entertainment available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or other similar devices from Apple. The way he sees the situation is that a lot of people in the adult movie/image business use flash as a major part of their websites, so not supporting flash means those sites won't work on these devices. Is it true? I really don't have anything to show either way, but I do think it is plausible at least.delsdad wrote:I understand your position.
