Question for transportation CM

Post by I am Sam » Sat Feb 12, 2011 12:02 am

How do you feel about guests breaking into song on buses or boats (monorail doesn't matter as much as CMs aren't in every cab)?
My sisters and I often start Disney songs during rides to and from the resort. At least one of us knows every word and we only sing "Small World" if a kid asks us to. We have done Carrousel of Progress, a pirates Life for Me, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Three CAballeros, the Tiki Room, the song from the figment ride, the Mickey Mouse Club March, and in the last year the song from Captain EO. We have also gotten the whole monorail cab to do the hokey pokey and "If you are happy and you know it".
Would it bother you or would you get a kick out of it?

Be careful on the buses. You might get the driver in trouble.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I think going TO a park, it might be fun.

I think that coming back from a park, you might want to re-think it. especially with a bus full of people (and kids) that might be at the end of their rope, so to speak.

Usually I silently beg them to shut up. Nothing different than when the groups subject other guests to horns and cheers and songs. UGH

What Mapo said, except I might not silently ask you to shut up. ;)

I am all for people having a good time, but your good time should not impact your neighbors good time.

See, this is why people don't sit next to you at partys! ;)

I'm with Mapo ! If a CM starts a sing along, its fun. If a guest starts it, its annoying !

Extremely annoying doesn't even describe guests' sing a longs dels, especially on Main Street. :( Break time!!... if at all possible.

Happens most on the way to MK little kids get excited and they love hearing songs they know. On the way back we don't with the exception of the last bus from the Pleasure Island/west end. Some drunk will start the song and only know a few lines. Then we'll join in and finish it. We Gage the situation if no one is having fun then we drop it. On most buses we've gotten requests. I would never let my fun ruin someone elses trip/day ECt. On the monorail where we did the hokey pokey the 3 year old in our cab wanted us to sing it after we helped her sing "it's a small world".
