Re: Refillable mugs
My son and I bought refillable mugs at Dixie Landings in I 1995. I guess the statute of limitations on refills has expired on those.
"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Re: Refillable mugs
All this talk of feeding seagulls, and not one mention of Alka Seltzer...
I am JUST KIDDING!

Going off the topic, but feeding seagulls: I went to Los Alamitos High School.
In the senior year, my friends were messing with the seagulls in the quad. My friend's fed the seagulls the same stuff that Wallaby mentioned.
Around 3 pm the cheer leaders were practicing and a bunch of the birds had to go. The cheer leaders were bombed completely in bird poop. My friends said that the crew had to go home and clean up. :D:
Rice does the trick also.

The pelicans!

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: Refillable mugs
We in the olden days bought a mug at Dixie Landings now POR...it stated it was for life at that resort...that was over 20 years ago. I still have them but bet I can't use anymore :D:
I admit I bought mugs in July and we brought them back in October of the same year and used them again...plus bought 4 more...we only had 4 of us in July and 8 in October. We also stayed at CBR both times...I did not feel bad...the mugs were the same and I had not really gotten my worth out of them in July!!!
I was told it is about $.16 for a drink of Coke products in a mug...not worth a CM getting into it with a SG. I agree that they are no longer for life but bringing back in a same year and same people are using them again...I have no porblem doing...I don't think I am taking Disney...I actually think $13.95 is too high for them...but if you actually buy drinks then it is worth is...but Disney is not losing any money on them!!! No one can drink that much coke at the resorts :)

Re: Refillable mugs
Yes, the cost is low. But, it causes congestion. The Mara at DAKL is small for the amount of traffic it gets, and a good amount of traffic is people cutting across the restaurant and filling something inappropriate up and then leaving. It's somewhere around 15% of the traffic through the door purely using the soda fountain. If they get a little more anal about it, it will make the restaurant feel less crowded.quinsippi5 wrote:I was told it is about $.16 for a drink of Coke products in a mug...not worth a CM getting into it with a SG. Re: Refillable mugs
I have a mug bought at Mara years ago. I still use it, just at home instead of in Florida. It used to say something about free refills only at the resort and trip it was purchased, but some paint has been worn off and you can't read it anymore.
