At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

The clams look the same, but what I've seen so far it is completely different. You're not just riding along watching TV :D:mapo wrote:OMG it just looks like Nemo ride with Ariel instead...SIGH

Hey the sooner those walls come down, the better! Not so much that I'm a fan of this attraction, its just that DCA needs more attractions!

It sounds alright to me. If one were to listen to Scuttle from the original movie, and then listen to this recording, it sounds very similar. (I know, because I just did it.)drcorey wrote:gee, who ever did the voice of scuttle is awful,

Its probably the same actor who did Scuttle's voice for the tv series. They do the best they can.
And yes, other than the similar ride vehicles, this ride is NOT like WDW's Nemo ride at all.
The ride will be filled with audio-animatronics. Anyone who has seen the recently released videos of the ride's interior construction knows this.
I'm excited for this ride, but I'm REALLY excited about Cars Land.
(And for the record, I think that the Nemo Sub Voyage at Disneyland is the best Nemo ride, it is longer, more immersive, and has physical figures in addition to the projected animation. Not to mention that guests are really under water.)

I am so excited about Cars Land. If they do it right, it may rival Mysterious Island at Tokyo DisneySea, and that was VERY impressive!Disneyguy85 wrote:

I also agree about Nemo at Disneyland. I enjoy the subs as much as I did as a kid, different story, but the ride overall is a unique experience.
