I don't find it hard working at WDW (then again, I always knew that this was where I wanted to work).

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Not any harder than anywhere else. Just use common sense.
RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

No, not at all. And in some of my locations, I hardly saw my managers (entertainment and custodial especially).

Re: are the rules very tough
That depends on your department, your managers, and your own history.julieannboo wrote:so your managers aren't on top of you all the time then?
There are managers who are constant, hands-on, PITAs. Some departments, too, such as CRO. Some CMs, especially those very new, also bear watching.
But overall, it's less of a problem at Disney that most other places I've worked. In fact, some roles I wished management would show up *more* often so they might have more clue when they were needed.

As they said, depends on the department. I got very annoyed as a lead that my managers wouldn't back me up when it came to appearance guidelines, even though certain CM's were wearing pretty heavy make-up, well beyond what the guidelines stated. They didn't want to make waves. They also couldn't be bothered to reign in the problem children who had a disruptive effect on other CM's. If the newbies see old timers flaking off and blatantly encouraging others to do the same, do you think the newbies are going to follow the rules? Didn't think so. It's easier to lock yourself up in the office and ignore the problems and suck up to anyone passing through from TDA.
