Can't you go inside Sleeping Beauty Castle? I remember doing the walk-through attraction inside the castle when I went to DLR in September '09.Ms. Matterhorn wrote:Sleeping Beauty's Castle (when you could go inside),
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

They did re-open it, but we forgot to check it out when we were just there.Shorty82 wrote:Can't you go inside Sleeping Beauty Castle? I remember doing the walk-through attraction inside the castle when I went to DLR in September '09.

It is my understanding that they're to tear down the stables by the parking lot to make room for more lodging space -- either campsites or DVC, I can't tell from my sources.dazyhill wrote:Does the razing of the stables mean you won't be able to go horseback riding at Fort Wilderness anymore? I really loved doing that!
The horses are to be consolidated with the stock at the Tri-Circle-D ranch near Pioneer Hall. That could get crowded, so I expect either an addition to this facility or a new and larger facility elsewhere.
River Country seems like a poor choice for that, as I would expect that waterfront property to be used for DVC first, with the horses some distance away.
Still, ya never know around this place!

I miss photographers who know how to compose at least a some what good shot. . . Oh wait. WDW has never had them.
(Bad experience with Photopass Photographers recently, the better half and I have agreed we'll never use their service again).

I wouldn't say that I wouldn't use the service, but, I cannot wrap my brain around the "pre-payment" package. I use the service, occasionally, in the parks then go to the shop and see if it's anything I want. If I like it, I buy it otherwise I walk away and all I have lost is a little time.IndyandMarion wrote:I miss photographers who know how to compose at least a some what good shot. . . Oh wait. Well, this was going to be a nice birthday photo with Marion and I (and Fuzzball on my shoulder) in front of SSE. It's our favorite EPCOT spot to take photos, and we wanted a good one for her birthday.
The composition was off, the angle was bad and to top it off there is a huge sunbeam that was reflecting off SSE that went right across the camera lens and washed us out completely. Then at MK, the photographer again didn't compose it right and totally ignored the other person that was basically right on us (Who was NOT part of the photo, not even with us) so it ruined the photo as well.
I know KODAK is not in charge of the photography anymore, which is a shame, and it shows these days as well.
Anyway, another thing I miss:
Doorless parking trams. Back in my day, we had to sit in the middle and we LIKED IT!

I'm afraid you have that backwards: Entertainment is now nothing but PhotoPass. :flash:kurtisnelson wrote:Well the suits decided photopass is nothing but Entertainment anymore so there's your explanation.
