VM (not quite) Live from Philly!
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Um, if we can have a third executive producer, I'll take that. Since this whole production idea did come from me.
And Wombat, as far as your pyro goes, I knew there was a reason, other than great vocals, that I enjoyed VM!

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I'm a skeered of scafolds, but if delsdad needs an assistant on the deck, I'm there. Just fly the electric bars in, or hand me some scissors and send me to cut gels.... I'm good at cutting gels!

Re: VM (not quite) Live from Philly!
How did I miss this thread.... oh yeah, I started loading in a new show last week. One with a similar large lighting budget, glad I'm not paying the bills. I have to do a bulb change in the next couple of weeks, at a cost of around 15k.Big Wallaby wrote:Sure. They will need some training to avoid the cameras and pyro. But yes. All six of them.
Do you guys really need an audience?
We also need to give delsdad a lighting budget... delsdad, does $450,236.52 sound like an amount you could work with? Oh, and you get to keep the lights, as long as I have free use of them for life when you are not personally using them. In fact, if you like, I'll house them here in Florida for you for when you come to visit the parks. Yeah, that's it!
We can do wonders with 450k. it would get us 36 good movers, 96k of pars for back light, some truss, motors, a cable package, an augmented broadcast package for the Hi def video, and all dimming, cable and control.
Of course the 2 53' trailers would need to be leased for storage. Air ride only please. Will those fit in your driveway BW ? Your hypno show could look like the Trans Siberian Orchestra ! We also need some skilled help to set it all up. Perhaps Mayonnaise and friends can lend a hand ?
