Cranbiz won't be driving the bus anymore

Post by Cranbiz » Tue Jan 18, 2011 11:43 pm

Hi all,

It is with some sadness that I post this. Last Saturday was my last shift working for WDW. I accepted a new full time position with a division of a well known storage company (not Netapp) and have transferred to Silicon Valley for the next 6 months with a final move to Durham NC.

With all the negative feedback from some people, with good reason, I have to say that I was always treated fairly at WDW and would go back there in a heartbeat if I ever live in the area again.

So I have changed my status to former and will still hang out here with my cyber friends and associates. I'll just have less SGT's to contribute.

You will be missed. However, am excited for your new challenges and opportunities. It should prove quite exciting.

Hey, I'm moving to Durham, or close by, in May. Maybe we will meet, just won't know it. :)

Aw, man. I have for a few years now missed our talks late in the evening when waiting to clock out. Hopefully, I will make it out to California (I have one more reason now) in the next several months. Durham is only a ten hour drive (16 hour Amtrak ride, as long as you're not on the Coast Starlate), so do come visit.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Please say it's not EMC.

I've had the unfortunateness of installing both EMC and Netapp appliances. At least they generally come pre-racked...

Congrats. However I will take the moment and call it now: "No, you won't" You'll quickly see that working for them is crap. Working at Taco Bell would be better. Do yourself a favor and don't go work for Disney again.
