Sorry I have to chime in.... Its in my compettive nature :D:
Delsdad is talking about Toronto being that cold.... I live another 4 hours 450kms north of there. We like to laugh at the folks from Toronto complaining about the cold when it is easly another 10-20 degrees colder here.
We were at -25c this morning without wind chill... -13f for my American friends.

How do living things survive in weather like that? I have to put blankets on my greyhounds when it gets down below 40 degrees. For animals that don't hibernate, how do they keep from freezing to death? I'm talking domestic animals like dogs & kitties that people (cruelly) leave outside. Meanies! :twisted:jerlove wrote:Sorry I have to chime in.... Its in my compettive nature :D:

Re: My Love For Winter...
Could someone direct me to Florida? Or could someone return it? This thing where I have to go out and cover half the plants every two weeks is getting old.
For that matter, I don't remember the temperature being so low the first couple years I lived in Orlando, (Current State Unknown).
And what was with that storm this morning? I hadn't seen one of those happen in the winter before!
I think the polar switch is imminent.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I grew up north west of Thunder Bay, I'm well aware of real winter weather. That's why I moved to southern Ontario! I should have moved to Orlando back in 1988 when Mickey invited me to, and even offered to get me a green card.jerlove wrote:Sorry I have to chime in.... Its in my compettive nature :D:

What can ruin my whole day is when I get in my car and a little message shows up on the instrument panel that says "Ice Possible".delsdad wrote:I grew up north west of Thunder Bay, I'm well aware of real winter weather. I've worked Pier. Can't tell me it's not cold. Had a para run take me off there due to pneumonia. Pier is great for ice cream, I do agree. :)Freak wrote:Aw c'mon, its not THAT cold over there! :p: We even have a couple ice cream carts down that way!

Could be worse. "You are about to get rear-ended',or,"Someone stole all your CDs". :mad:Goofyernmost wrote:What can ruin my whole day is when I get in my car and a little message shows up on the instrument panel that says "Ice Possible".There is nothing sadder than that, my friend. Even one's car is rubbing it in.
