My Love For Winter...

Post by Goofyernmost » Sun Jan 16, 2011 8:37 pm

I'll be honest here...I don't remember where this picture came from but it certainly sums up the way I feel right now and it's only the middle of January.

Might be 80 @ DL a few hrs. during day but temp is abt 42 when I get off. Not a heat wave when I layer my costume & wear a ski jacket. You DCA CMs are used to the cold cuz of the dang frigid, windy Pier. ;)

Around here, this time of year, 42 is a heat wave.

I agree with Goffyernmost! Dislike winter weather intensely!

It's our coldest day of the year today. Loading out last night we had no water in the theatre due to a water main break. Thats really bad news at -20 Celsius. The street was a sheet of ice. Kind of glad not to be working this morning, as water is to be off until at least mid morning. Having 70 stagehands in a building with no running water - ewww!

Thanks for your support. It's 4 below zero here today (not sure what that is in celsuis since I didn't take no foreign language in school) but either way it is cold, cold, cold. There is a strange looking orange/yellow shining object in the sky. Not sure what it is. Seems like I have seen it before but it must have been quite a while ago. Clear skies mean colder temperature. How I long for global warming...Mr. Gore where are you when we need you? Still upset about the election, I'll bet! Damn those dangling chads.

We were suppose to get a huge storm yesterday. Kauai and Oahu had flash flood warnings and we got...

... nothing.

I love winter here. If it's not raining or 'really' cold,I can get a lot of yard work done. (except when I'm messin around on the 'puter') ;)
