PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A Pennsylvania woman who claims Donald Duck groped her at Disney's Epcot theme park can have her day in court, a federal judge has ruled.
Disney must defend April Magolon's claims that the character grabbed her breast as she held her child at the Walt Disney World park and then joked about it.
Magolon, 27, of Upper Darby, claims the May 2008 encounter left her with post-traumatic stress in the form of nightmares, digestive problems and other permanent injuries. more...

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Didn't happen.
And can I see those permanent injuries? Yeah. Didn't think so.
This is where I insert all the normal comments about not being able to feel much with a character's hand, etc.
I am just waiting for someone to claim that King Louie fondled them.

I would love to see that lawsuit try to happen, then the defense give a tour of central shops with the shelves of hands.Big Wallaby wrote:I am just waiting for someone to claim that King Louie fondled them.

I've been thinking about this. Imagine my hand. Let's remove the character from this even. What would I have to do, with my bare hand, to cause permanent damage, that would not have caused a panic and made the news that night? I mean, seriously, that would be one hell of a juicy story, and some network here (WESH) would love to have that exclusive.
Also, with the devastating injuries, including physical, why was she not in a hospital that night? And since she would have gone to the hospital, again, news, that night, etc.
Can I head up to Pennsylvania and testify? I mean, I'll just be on the side of common sense. I would like her to don a character glove and do to me exactly what was done to her. I will then decide if I am physically hurt in any way.
From everything that was described, I doubt there was even physical contact that could be construed as fondling...
Sadly, I think this and other lawsuits like it are going to lead to characters being removed from guest contact, just like the rest of us Cast Members.

Is she claiming PHYSICAL injury? Or mental trauma? (Digestive issues can be somatiform.)
(Not that I think it happened like she said, but that mental trauma from fondling is plausible if he did happen, whereas physical, as mentioned by others above, is less so.)

If the glove doesn't fit...one must acquit.

Agreed. I am sure that is what she is is talking about, but I like to fillet the article the way it sounds. "Injury", in my mind, means physical. For mental, they could have used a plethora of other words that would not put a physical picture in my mind.Mayonnaise wrote:but that mental trauma from fondling is plausible if he did happen, whereas physical, as mentioned by others above, is less so.

I find this so amazing in a place where everyone has a camera that there are no pictures or video of the alleged incident. I am so sure you intestinal distress will go away the minute Disney cuts you a check. Cut me a break you money grubbing witch.

Someone needs to start a huge disney food fight once.
but then some women will say a charactor graped them.
but the disney lawyers will say, no, it was a jog-by fruiting.
