Woman don't tell men what to do

Post by Tinker Bell » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:33 pm

The park has been insanely busy these past days, so often the characters line gets out of control and you have to get creative trying to keep folks in line. The problem is that while kids are easy enough to direct, their parents are a nightmare. Over at a location where there are stations we asked repeatedly not to go over or under the rope. So what do the parents do? Off course go over or under the rope.

I said politely 'Please don't go over the rope we don't want you to fall'.

All I got was: "I know what I'm doing, don't tell me what to do!"

I decided to let it be, and not argued. Next guest comes into take a picture and goes again over the rope. When again I ask he don't do that, this guy looses it.

"He did it! Learn that woman don't tell men what to do!" All this while he pointed a finger at me.

I should have let it go, but my patience got the better of me. I turned around and lashed out "Sir when there is a concern for safety it doesn't matter what sex I am I will tell people what to do, even men."

It seems that people these days don't get told what to do. Adults know it all, and so they don't need directions, or CM telling them where they stand, behave, or sit. Funny part is that while they don't get told what to do, a good majority of them SUCK at keeping their kids safe. However, when they get call because of it, they have a temper tantrum all while telling their kids not to have one.

I wish I had a camera so I could film parents and then later play out the video for them.

Wow, that is the saddest excuse I've ever heard!

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

And there we have the first entry in the Dopey Stuff SGs Say contest.

I'm tired of telling people not to run, or not to sit on the ropes or chains.

There's definitely one instance where Guests don't need to be told what to do. That's to call one of Orlando's finest personal injury attorneys to "fight for them" when they trip and fall over the rope and get hurt!

As I explained it to one such SG who complained that every CM had been yelling at him all day:

"The more times we warn you not to do something, the more likely the judge will laugh when you bring suit for having been injured. It's a legal thing. Personally, I'd be just fine with you doing a face-plant -- I get to go inside where there's the air conditioning to do the paperwork."

Didn't seem to do any good, but it sure made me happy for a while. I think the laughter of all the other guests in the queue might have hit a nerve though.

At least he also didn't say that you were "ruining the magic" for him. I have heard that one more times than I can say. Last I checked, though, standing on a planter doesn't shoot pixie dust up your butt, so I don't know where this magic I m ruining is coming from.

Yesterday I heard the CM from BTRR say, please reframe from smoking in line. Please put the cigg out because if your don't you will be removed from the line.

That made my day. There are 3 different areas of the park that I know at lease when smoking is allowed: deck near the River's of America, Big Thunder trail and also near the Autopia car area.

If I catch you smoking, you better be a blaze.

Used be a line I'd say @ Calico Mine Ride.
"Well we got a lot of dangerous gas an' dynamite down here--so if you light up, well we might just blow up. So no smokin' on my train less one of y'all is on fire!" :p:

By the way, I just about died at that line. "Learn that woman don't tell men what to do!"
The grammar used here is so offensive it's hilarious.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.

You will be missed.

The crew on Columbia are the best.

Go ahead and play with the black cannon on your right.
Disneyland has no bandage that will cover a blown off hand or arm.

You SG are dumber than a 1st grader! My brother who did attractions a few years back said they did a bingo game with stupid stunts a guest would do. He kept on winning. He showed me and my sister the card. We were laughing and told him he won.
