I've always wanted to do this.
Okay, so we were at Spaceship Earth. First time on since it was changed in 2007 (I miss the old descent...), so I kind of wanted to hear the narration. This couple behind us in line talked loudly the entire time in line, but I assumed this would stop once they were on the ride. It did not. The entire time going up the first tunnel: talk, talk, talk- loudly enough that I couldn't hear the narration at all. It was quite dark, and I had enough. I just went, "SHHHH!". The talking stopped... briefly. Literally, they talked the rest of the ride.
Finally, in the unload area, they ended up in front of us. "Hey, Mom, don't you think it's SO RUDE when people TALK DURING THE ENTIRE RIDE when some people might want to actually LISTEN to what the ride is saying?" If looks could kill, I'd be dead right now... but it was worth it.
(Bonus stupidity: in the big queue room at The Great Movie Ride, someone turned to my dad and asked him "Is this the ride?". I wanted to die laughing.)

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

I believe it.joanna71985 wrote:Believe me, that happens all the time
I was next to a family in the Tower of Terror library scene that was convinced the drop was going to happen any minute because in the commercial there were no seats.
Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

Just ask my mother-in-law! LOL Yes....she actually asked that question before we were brought in to the load room. My husband and I were laughing so hard, we couldn't answer her for a minute, but at least she didn't get mad at us....she just didn't know what to expect because we had seen so many shows beforehand.joanna71985 wrote:Believe me, that happens all the time

I have wanted to say that so many times.KingsIslander wrote:Okay, so we were at Spaceship Earth. We stand on the carpet cause that is where it moves right?CptnSkippy wrote:I believe it.

This room moved.
Is this the ride?
Is this the lift?
Choose one of those for 1 out of 4 showings.

AHAHAHA. Happens all the time here too. It's one of the few reasons I love going on Tower. I love watching the people looking around trying to figure out how the room makes it all the way up to the top of the hotel.CptnSkippy wrote:I believe it.

RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

I wish there was a chicken experience for some of those super awesome themed drop rides, for those of us who could never handle the thrill drops.

That would be awesome. I'd love to ride ToT, but I'm afraid for my back and blood pressure. If they could do one elevator that just went up, opened, and came down without the drop, I'd love that. I'd even be amenable to waiting a little bit for that elevator to be available, so they could run it normally most of the time. They could do like they do at Mission Space, a red card, and a green card, and every half hour or so, run an elevator in no drop mode.Mayonnaise wrote:I wish there was a chicken experience for some of those super awesome themed drop rides, for those of us who could never handle the thrill drops.
