Mind you, it's the TV news crews that do the lathering, but still....
Chicken? Egg?

Actually, we're hoping for a Chicken omelet when we get both at once.

Hey, in California, it could happen!

Thanks, everyone! FelineFan - I hope you feel better soon!!! I am a klutz myself and trip over my own feet....we have nightlights in every room of the house for me and not the kids. lol DisneyMom....I see the news reports coming in from Cali and pray you and yours are all right. Hope it's not too close to you.

And I love the chicken or the egg reference....too perfect!

Had an appointment with the totally awesome physical therapy doc last night. I'm in extreme pain now, but we have a plan and I think it will go well. It's going to be months, but I know I'll be walking in Disney soon enough (I hope...if not, my children can push me around in a wheelchair - I will not endanger people by renting a scooter.....I'd be a MAJOR liability and poor MAPO would have to clean up the mess in my wake! :D :) . He said my back is "torqued"...not exactly sure what that means, but twisted seems to be a good synonym.

I'm signing over the title today....it's the only thing I'm signing, fear not. AND...I've already been told this does not release the other insurance company (or the kid) for anything but the property damage. Hey, I'm getting some bills paid off and my insurance went down...can't complain too much.

Merry Christmas, everyone!!!! I hope to catch up on other posts over the weekend....technically, I'm bed-ridden....not allowed to move from the couch and/or bed. What fun, what joy. I have my heating pad here at work to help me out....now if I could only bring in some DVDs I'd be set! :)

Easy fix. Get an iPad and get movies via iTunes. Send your husband out for the cookies. :cookie:

While I in no way would suggest trying to con the insurance company out of millions of dollars, I would suggest emphasizing your pain and suffering. My oldest son was being given the run around from an insurance company over an accident where their client ran a stop sign and he T-boned her car. She was ticketed but the insurance co. was consistently low balling him on a settlement. A well worded letter from me to the agent pointing out their clients obvious fault, my son's injuries and expenses and the threat to seek legal representation brought about a payment that allowed him to buy another used car to replace the one she wrecked. As I told my son, you don't want to be a millionaire you just want to be made whole.

No flooding here--we're on level ground. Okay, the gutters are running a bit high, and there are puddles at certain intersections, but other than that, it's just WET!

I'm not so much a klutz as just unable to adapt to the darkness of my room after the light in the bathroom.

The other night the right lens of my glasses came off--a thin line of plastic surrounding the lens broke. So after the library session yesterday, I went to a 7-11 and bought a $2 tube of Krazy Glue. Got it glued on the bottom of the lens--now I need to do the top. I can do that tonight. Thank God for Krazy Glue! Beats having to go to an optometrist or a jeweler--yes I checked "eyeglass repair" on Yahoo Local and what came up was a raft of jewelry stores--and paying a mint to get it fixed/replaced.

Thanks for the advice. That's it exactly....I don't want anything other than to be able to get a new vehicle and something for the pain and suffering....here it is two and a half weeks later and my right hand is still killing me. Don't mind my whining.....I am just fed up because now my insurance company is dragging its feet on my care. Ah, well....it could be worse.

@FelineFan: girlfriend, I feel so bad for you!!! The glasses, the toe, the hips, the food not getting eaten....I think if I were in your situation, I would be a very Grumpy Gus. I hope everything starts to feel better soon and I am glad you were not in the mudslides. stay safe.
