yes, they are probably that dumb.
I would like to hope that she was having fun with the cruise director but i encountered a lot of really dumb people on that cruise. (Sadly they were all fellow Americans!)

In regards to Ms.Matterhorn's post, I ran into a similar couple at the Sydney airport. Only difference was that they were both verbally abusive to each other.
The huesband got really nasty with the Sydney staff about his briefcase. (Which he left in the middle of some seats, while he sat on the other side, making it look like to me an unattended bag, which I alerted the staff about).
Later his wife comes over and yells at him at the top of her lungs,"If you want to make this flight get your ass over here NOW! Lovely couple.

its a seceret government helicopter that is transferring cloned people at night and replacing the cruise guests with them.
Shhhhhhh! My wife wants to fly those helicopters someday!

Just think! By marrying each other, they were saving two other people from having to live their lives with them.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I like to believe that people aren't that dumb......silly me!
My brother is the kind of guy who'd wander WDW looking for "that Spiderman ride" or tell his daughter they were taking the monorail to see the Cat in the Hat or the Disney zoo parking lot or whatever, even though he knows better, so I like to assume people who say things like that are kidding as well.

OTOH, I know people who believe the goofiest stuff, and are incapable of following logical thought. At least one of them gets quite angry if you point out the sheer craziness of her theories (which I never do on purpose, but used to regularly just because I was sure she was kidding me, and still do when I forget who I'm talking to). And I'm not talking religion, but pretty fundamental how-reality-works kinda stuff.

So I must reluctantly recognize that some people really are that dumb. Or maybe it's that some people are convinced they can create their own reality if they cling to it tightly enough. :p:

Issn't that kind of the basic premise of creating an SG? BELIEVING your way is better/correct over that of an employee/CM?

I dunno. The one time I pulled an SGT, it was because I was being unusually oblivious. :o: Or maybe typically oblivious, not sure. But I certainly didn't argue when the CM said that wasn't how things worked.

Oh but they are! I truely believe there is a mind sucking device in each turnstile that sucks people minds out when they walk into a park. (Surely these people cannot be this stupid and live a daily life).

Some to note:

The "gentleman" standing in the lobby of Pop Century insisting he had just arrived at Pop on the Monorail. He was very angry with the DVC rep for removing the Monorail while he was in the restroom.

The mom who kept insisting the Castle was removeable (you know in case of storms), she kept arguing with the CM and the Manager (who was called) telling them THEY were wrong!

Oh an last week there was a guy who just KNEW there was a walkway from GF to MK. He had walked it. ;)

People like that must spend their whole lives convinced the world is in a conspiracy to... deny reality? Hide the truth, maybe? :aliens:
