Neilsen is one of my favorite comedic actors (although the bulk of his career was actually serious roles). Sad to lose a fellow Canuck.

Surley one of my favorite actors (and stop calling me Shirley). Anyone remember that back in the day he played the Bad guy all the time on the decteive type shows. He was a great character actor. But he really did his best work as a comedian.

Apparently he ordered the fish.

I had just spent the better part of this past Friday afternoon watching the original Police Squad episodes with extended family. Nielsen's brilliance in the comedic roles was how he played them as straight as possible. "Sorry, ma'am. We would have been here sooner, but your husband wasn't dead then."
RIP.

Re: Leslie Nielsen will not be down for breakfast
This is very sad. The first role I remember seeing him in was Airplane and then the Police Squad movies were just great. I always thought it was odd that he took serious roles sometimes because the majority of my experience with him was comedic.
