Turkey or Ham....or?

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Late as usual with Thanksgiving post. Was off per my request. :) My sister flew down from NorCal so she, Mom & I just walked down our street & stopped at all family homes. We had 2 huge meals with abt 30 family at each, lots of pie & goodies. Of course I was given a doggy bag by everyone. I am Thankful for my wonderful family, 2 loving Cocker Spaniels, horses, & all my many Fantastic friends. And ktulu + darph. ;)

Turkey was on the menu at my house, my youngest daughter came home from college and volunteered to cook since I don't like turkey. On a difficult note, my oldest daughter had a seizure just as dinner was being served and had another one today. The holidays in my house look to be very stress filled. I feel like I am never going to get back to a normal life.

I'm thankful for the fact I got double time for that shift. :D:

Darph, so sorry for your loss. But I am very glad your mother was home with family.

Sorry I'm late....it's been a busy and stressful weekend.

Let's see....started prepping on Wednesday night after running errands in Delaware. Thursday we had turkey, homemade stuffing (a polish recipe that has been handed down six generations now), mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, black olives, cranberry sauce, succotash, gravy, pumpkin and cherry pies, and biscuits. I think that's all....although I feel as though I'm missing something. lol It was my family (hubby, Quinn, Kyle and Amy) and we invited my girlfriend and her children over (her hubby had to work). it was pretty awesome....we watched the Macy's Day parade in the morning (I cried thinking of notatourist) and then football. The kids played all day....coloring, playing PS2, legos, you name it. And, we're planning on the same thing for christmas now. It's such a great think to have friends to share the holiday with!!!

I took a nap Thursday evening (from 5:30 to 9:30) and then hubby and I went shopping at 11:45 (Walmart is literally about 2 miles away). We came home, caught up on NCIS, and then went back out at 3:15 to JC Penny's. We got everything on our list for the kids except some things we need to buy online (Flash and Supergirl shirts). I'll tell you, Black Friday was way more crowded this year than in year's past.

Saturday I worked in the morning and then went out to dinner with friends to celebrate a 40th birthday. Yesterday we relaxed....and watched football. Now the busy time begins: Kyle started wrestling last week and the first tourney is the 5th....oh, boy.....I'm gonna be a nervous wreck!!!! (I'm the psycho mom screaming on the mat "DO YOUR MOVES!!!" lol).

I hope everyone has a calm and happy next few weeks. If anyone wants a coffee cake, let me know.....I'll send some Christmas love your way!!! (Amy would love to help me bake for you guys)

Also late, but here goes:

My much better half and I first went to see Harry Potter. (That is a rant for a different time and place). We then attended to our annual tradition of dinner at Cracker Barrel followed by an extremely generous tip to the poor server who had to work on the holiday. :) Friday through Sunday were spent decorationg the yard/house for Christmas. The sad thing is I'm still not done. I am hoping for the delivery of my 20' inflatable Santa today.
