City Hall, Muahahaha!!!

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Yes, a name change (mostly so when people came in asking for SAPs, the city hall CM can say, we don't have SAPs anymore) and a change in how they're given out. The Guests have to answer some questions and such before they can get one, and before they could just go in like this lady did and ask for an SAP and get one.

HEHEHEHHEE

I am surprised that at some point, the CM didn't ask the guest if she was getting ill, because she had been standing more than a few minutes for this exchange! ;)

That is so right on!!! LOL I actually went to City Hall to see about a special pass for my hubby, I thought we might need one to sit a little closer to the exits in the theaters (he suffers from anxiety....not good to be "trapped"). Anyway, I was told we wouldn't need one, just sit as close as we can or speak to a CM. No problem...on I went. Until I realized I forgot my mother in law's "First Trip" button. So, I went back to City Hall. Wouldn't you know I got to listen to almost this exact conversation. I felt so bad for the CM.

When it was my turn, I walked right up to her and, within earshot of the SG, said "I promise I won't waste your time going around in circles, you already told me that my hubby didn't qualify for a GAC, could I please have a button?" You should have seen the jaw drop on the psycho woman that was in front of me. It was like: how could I be so understanding and civilized? Didn't I realize I should argue with the CM until I broke them down so they gave me what I wanted?

I still don't understand the logic behind these people.....they think if they argue enough, they'll get handed whatever they want. Guess what, asshole, I have a handicap placard too. And guess what??? I sit down a lot (even in queues) and take my time getting where I need to be. UGH Stupid people.....

(ok...sorry...rant over)

HAHAHA I love this!

Those poor Guest Relations folks in City Hall... from what I hear, you have to have a lot of training, a lot of non-yelling experience, and a lot of seniority to work there.
