Bru, I hope that you will be mending properly STAT!!!!
I would think that is the most horrible pain, I see what my patient's go through with even a moderate infection, let alone a BONE GRAFT.

The swelling and pressure must have been overwhelming :(
Plan to send greetings to the Bru Fairy Soon :bluefair:
:flybongo: NO BULL!!!!!:D:

Bru, Hope you get better soon. I'm sorry the bone graft failed (and that the doc didn't adequately tell you what he was doing). I just hope everything goes a bit smoother from here on our.
Congrats, Grandma Matterhorn. I love the name Catherine Grace!!!
Kyle played in his first game on Sunday....the break has healed well enough for the doc to clear him. He doesn't seem to be having a whole lot of problems with it at all. And I'm with GATechGal - my whole family are suffering through allergies and whatnot. I honestly think it's the kids going back to school - all those germs in the air. Plus, our temps went from an average of 90 to 70 overnight. Not nearly what you're going through, Bru, but unpleasant all the same.
Here's wishing everyone well........

this seems utterly ridiculous to bother posting given the news I just found about our dear friend Notatourist...I am absolutely heartbroken over it.
but since I am here and not sure if I'll get back for awhile (again) I may as well so nobody thinks I vanished (again). been away cause I've been getting sicker. They're going to do a ct soon of my face to see how far the infection has progressed into the bones. I'm just about to finish the first week of six weeks of daily IV antibiotics and they're kicking my ass but they seem to be helping a little- progress is very slow and often moves backwards before it goes forward again. More surgery may be ahead of me, don't know yet. If there is I hope it won't be big. They still have to do something to close the last of the three holes between my palate and my sinus, at least, which is still there. This infection has eaten through the maxilla at points- we won't know about other bones until we get a picture of the inside.
But that's nothing. I am so distraught about Chris. So sad. I wanted so much better for her. She deserved so much better. She was so brave, and I am so sad for everybody who loved her.
Two things stand like stone:
Kindness in another’s trouble.
Courage in your own.

I have been saving my money for the last few months hoping to buy a netbook, but Target only offers the one I want online--I have no credit or debit cards, no checking account, no way to buy one online. That super sucks!!!! I have three times the money to buy it, but they also have jacked up the price! Consumer Reports says October is one of the months--July and January are the other two--when prices for electronics are supposed to go down. It's an Acer Aspire One AO532h-2588, with 8 hours of battery life, and it's a CR Best Buy.
Anybody have any ideas on how to get around this dilemna? Target was selling them the cheapest, but now the few brick and mortar stores that have them want more than the original price of $248.99.

Have you gone into a Target and asked if they can assist you, such as officially accept payment?

Or have you considered getting a prepaid debit card?

You could probably also go into the store and get a gift card, those can usually be used online.
There's no place like 127.0.0.1
