Wow really? We've always had a GREAT experiance at Food and Wine. In fact, we've bought the cookbook every time we've gone and then USED it quite a bit after. Sorry your time was less than magical.

That's because we are cheap :D:

But yeah, our attendance forecast and park hour setting have been extra-horrible lately due to the really odd effects of the economy.

Forecasts haven't been worth spit since 9/11. The world changed in some relevant way that has yet to be replicated in our models.

Don't give Bin Laden so much credit, all he did was set off a moron bomb and we allowed it to happen, and keep happening for 7 more years. All hail president shrub.

You also have to factor in the SG syndrome of fear and stupidity. SG's are afraid of everything and account for 89.2% of the population* (source: Funk & Wagnalls senseless SG census). SG fear stops them from doing anything in this country except for waking up, commute, work, buy useless crap, commute, procreate, sleep. It is anti-american and anti-capitalism to go on vacation with your kids, because then you can't afford all the crap that keeps you home in the first place.

They're afraid to drive and have an accident, afraid of flying for fear of bombs and accidents, afraid to stay offsite because of the Florida natives, afraid to stay onsite because of the Florida wildlife, afraid to go on vacation because of hurricanes, tornadoes, rain, lightning, afraid the monorail is ghetto and they will be shanked, afraid of the encephalitis, afraid of food poisoning, afraid of Brazilians, afraid of the gays, afraid of disciplining their children, afraid of tarps and construction.

Corporate America is killing this country.

Apparently we haven't updated the firmware on the crystal ball used to generate attendance forecasts.

It has something to do with the fact we still use windows mobile 2000 for data collection and Microsoft Access for other parts of it.
