A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Hey, now... If I wasn't happily married to Little Wallaby, I would actually be okay with that... Well, long as she was hot. She could use me for my tickets all she wanted. :D:
And for the painfully slow*, yes, that was a joke.
*since we don't seem to have too many painfully slow people on this board, I guess I am really saying it for the people here who are just looking for any reason they can to fire me, without even knowing who or what kind of Cast Member I am, or understanding the fact that that WAS humor. Yes, I know you're out there. I know you're watching... Always watching...
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

When we bought our home in Hawaii it was amazing how we all of a sudden had all these "friends" who wanted to drop by for a few days, or wanted to know how big the ohana was, or who wanted to use the place for a family reunion for two weeks. The funny part was they weren't even smooth or sneaky about it.
Same thing when my family moved from Texas to Colorado -- we had lots of multiday visits from distant friends and relatives. My parents were always the ultra-hospitable sorts and seemed happy to host them all (although I know it was sometimes a major inconvenience) and we kids just took it all in stride. It was kind of fun to play tour guide for the mountains and the sights of Denver, and we got pretty good at finding free or cheap places to go. We did often have to ask, "now, how do we know them again?" (or "how are we related to them?")

The one consistent guest we have in my mother-in-law who will call to announce she'll be arriving on such and such a date to visit the grandchildren. After she left from her last visit I noticed the refrigerator magnets had rearranged themselves into a pentagram.

I guess the good part is you don't have to go to the airport to meet her?
just have her put her firebolt in the broom closet when she lands in the back yard?

The nice thing for me is the closest thing to a tourist distination I'm near is Graceland. Not too many people are begging to come over so they can see the toilet on which Elvis died.
One of my best friends is a former CM who worked trams at WDW for a couple of years. My wife and I went to visit him, with absolutley no expectations. He asked us after our first day there if we wanted to spend a day at the parks. We did, but made sure he was going to meet us after his shift. If you are truly a friend, you don't pull shit like that.
The opinions expressed here may not be those of kcberlin. Sometimes I just like to stir shit.

It's 50/50. Sometimes she shows up on a ship that's passing by.

I think there's a problem with the joke when your disclaimer is longer than the joke.

Yes, but that's just how it is when dealing with the painfully slow. They're just ... painfully slow!

YEah, that is the point.
You know, I know of and heard that some startling numbers of cast at all levels and across the different lines of business are 'involuntarily leaving' at WDW.
Of course, I have a handy list if the 'shoppers' need assistance finding those who really need to go.
I am also getting some strange questions from 'cast' and 'inquisitive guests' that have 'put my teeth on edge' the last month or two. I feel like the 'Disney shoppers' are out again in force, looking to cull the ranks. We always seem to get the 'hard line' during contract negotiations time but this time, dunno, seems different.
