I could use your help.

Post by DiscoYeti » Sat Sep 18, 2010 12:17 pm

Hi, everyone, and greetings from Forbidden Mountain. Longtime SGT reader here.

Many of you are no doubt already aware of my sad, sad story, the animatronic star of Expedition Everest, long since broken and dubbed "Disco Yeti" by fans. (If you haven't heard the story, the Orlando Sentinel had a good article about me a few weeks ago. Just google "Disco Yeti.")

Well, I've been bored with nothing to do, and an anonymous group of CMs and Disney geeks wanted to give me a voice on the internet, so they suggested I take up blogging, writing about my experiences as a frozen animatronic working for Disney. I've been doing that, and my blog is starting to get a lot of attention. It's been pretty cool.

But you know, I don't get out much, and I'd really like to bring attention to things outside of my little space here at Animal Kingdom. So I was thinking, who do I know who would know about other things in the parks that are broken or in need of attention? Folks who are just jaded enough to get it, but who genuinely love Disney and have a sense of humor. And of course I thought of you all.

So, yeah. If there are things you know of that need attention brought to them, I'd be happy to do it. After Screamscape plugged me this week, I've been getting a lot of online visitors every day, and I'd like to use that power for good, not evil. (Well, maybe a little evil.)

Also, I hope you'll let me stick around here, because I do love a good stupid guest story.

Thanks!

Hello DiscoYeti, I am the resident dragon and would like to offer you a very warm* welcome to that slice of the internet we call SGT. This website contains threads with quick twists and turns and I would like to advise you to not try to hard to keep up with them. Please keep your hands, arms, and legs safely inside the website at all times and enjoy your stay.

*this instance of warm is actually hot**... very hot

**this instance of hot means that you are now literally on fire, I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience

Googled and am very interested in your plight. Hopefully you get fixed within the next decade.

BTW You can consider this a big thumbs up and welcome to SGT. Plug the site...

flat visions of misty places,
fragments bound below my surface,
but I can write dreams,
they flow from me,
inscribed but now unbound,
I touch them,
and they are real,
and they are real."

This is a travesty! An outright shame!

Ether they should get Yeti the help he needs to resume being the fearsome creature he was meant to be, or they should at least give him a white polyester leisure suit, some gold chains, and his own backup group!

Well, technically I'm only a few years old, since I was created along with Expedition Everest. Perhaps I shouldn't admit to anything more than that. ;)

My site went down a couple of days ago, but it's back up and running on a new host. Those of you who are Disney CMs will no doubt empathize with what I had to go through to get it running again.
