Adventures by Disney Coming to Disneyland

Post by Syndrome » Thu Aug 02, 2007 2:44 pm

I just put down my deposit on Backstage Magic, a new Adventures by Disney trip for 2008. You do some tours in Hollywood (Jimmy Kimmel Show soundstage, backstage tour at some theater) and then head over to DL to see Imagineering, Jim Henson Studios, and some other stuff. It runs five days and six nights, part of which is at the Grand Californian (since it's in April, I won't have to watch out for flaming Christmas trees). I have to say I'm pretty excited! We've only been to DL once, in the first year that DAC was open (I suspect I will barely recognize it now...although I WON'T miss the godawful Superstar Limo and that abysmal "Steps in Time" show). We're heading out April 8, and I promise that Mr. Syndrome and I will do our best to avoid committing any SGTs!

If this is the package mentioned on other boards, I do believe this includes a backstage tour of Haunted Mansion conducted by Tony Baxter!

Adopt me and take me with you!

Hey, I asked a long time ago for Syndrome to adopt me, search for it :p:

So, when do we leave? You can meet my family when we're out there. I'm sure if you deal with my brothers issues professionally it'd probably more than pay for the cost of the trip ;)

Sorry, I'm immune to Puss eyes as we own his duplicate (named Farquaad) who uses that same trick to beg table scraps.

Oooo, I hope it's the same trip with the HM tour!! We don't have the official itinerary yet because they just opened it for deposits on Aug. 1 but did not give the pricing or full itinerary. When I put the money down, the agent mentioned some of the experiences but didn't say anything about HM. I would LOVE that!

We leave April 8 and it's 6 days, but I think we spend the first couple in Hollywood. We might stay over an extra night since the flight times are so early.

I know some people in guest relations and the travel company and they were discussing this. From their understanding it's also supposed to include a tour of Walt's apartment.

Also, when it gets closer, we need to do a meet, I think cause who knows when you'll make it our way again.

That would be great (although I wouldn't be surprised if I end up back at DL more quickly than I would expect...Mr. Syndrome is already lobbying me to fly in a day early for our Panama cruise. The ABD will only encourage him to redouble his efforts, I'm afraid).
