Mickey Mouse? will not be down for Breakfast

Post by TdcOgre » Sun Sep 12, 2010 2:13 am

http://staugustine.com/news/local-news/ ... se-dies-60

"ORLANDO -- The man widely believed to be the first Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World has died.

Doug Parks of Gotha, Fla., died Aug. 29. He was 60.

Disney officials would confirm he was an entertainment cast member, but would not say whether Parks was the first costumed Mickey Mouse at the Magic Kingdom when it opened in October 1971. His family, likewise, was reluctant to spoil the so-called Disney magic."

why didn't they just say he was a friend of Mickey Mouse and leave it at that?

...and 60 is relatively young.

very sad.

Being that I am 62 I would have to say that 60 is almost childhood. It's kind of making me shudder a bit.
