We Got Quite A Surprise Today!

Post by Elena (aka: Bubble Lady) » Tue Jul 31, 2007 4:49 am

[font=Palatino Linotype] Wow! i just don't know where to begin...i'm still quite rattled

it was quite a day at dl today! we saw a few of our cm's  ...and while we were talking with one of them in fl a couple came up to talk with her too to let her know they'd found their cm they'd been looking for...the 5 of us started talking...the gentleman (mikey...HI MIKEY!) asked if we'd ever had the chance to take the "walking in walt disney's footsteps" tour...i told him sadly, no, we'd never been able to do that as our finances are limited...but it sounded really wonderful...our cm had told mikey and mindy (HI MINDY!) a little about us and i told them we'd be looking for them since we were out of bubbles and needed to go back to the locker...i planned on changing shoes and elyse had planned on something, but when we got there mikey showed up...he wanted to know if elyse and i would be interested in taking the "walking in walt's footsteps" tour as a gift from him and his wife...oh my god!  i kid you not when i say i had to step backwards to lean against the lockers to keep from falling down as i felt the color drain from my face (i actually felt my legs go rubbery)...elyse asked me if her face looked like mine...not being able to see my own face i told her i didn't know, but she looked a kind of pale green with white lips...she sat down on the floor in the locker room...we were both so stunned! we didn't know mikey and mindy at all...and here were these two perfect strangers offering to give us this tour...i must admit as i sit here i am still quite stunned and more than a little amazed (help me zazu...i don't know which icon to use)...i'm sure i just kind of gaped and moved my lips...when i could finally talk i accepted most gratefully...we both did...we also gave them bubbles...it seemed like nothing after such a lovely gift from two strangers...as it turned out the 2nd and last tour had already left, so mikey bought us a tour for a date in the future...we did run into them again later in the day...we took some photos with them and asked that the next time they're coming down to dl to please let us know cuz we would love to spend some time with them (we were supposed to be meeting up with some others today so couldn't really spend much time with them...not nearly the amount of time we'd like to have spent)...

then to top off the night we stopped off at the emporium and met up with main streeter!! HI MAIN STREETER!!! it was so great to see you again!!! :grouphug:

then we floated out of the park and to the tram...
it was a wonderful day full of wonderful surprises and wonderful people...
it was truly a DISNEY DAY :bouncemic

Congrats! That is so awesome! Yes, please let us know how it is, I've often thought about taking that tour so I want to hear first hand from a trusted source :)

See, that's the one thing that gets me a bit envious of you at DL... that you can walk in Walt's footsteps. Here, we have a couple places where you can do that, and I only know where one of them is. The other, I am not sure if it even exists anymore or is covered by a building or pavement at TTC.

Oh, enjoy that tour! If anyone deserves it, it's you!

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Well that is very very cool, some people out there are just so great that it completely makes up for the people who aren't. I guess that walking on walt's footsteps tour is a DL thing because I have actually never heard of that particular tour.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Yah, we're STOKED!!! Who'd-a-thunk it? Li'l ol' us! I was so excited, I didn't get to bed until 4:20am!!! When I finally got up (12:30pm), it was the first thing I told my DL-hating husband...even he was happy for us.

I posted my version of our exciting news under "The bubble ladys rock" if you're interested in my take of the events...actually, it's quite like Elena's, but what else do you expect from twins?

I am so happy for you two!!! I can't think of two more deserving people! I think from the way you treat the CM's, many other guests would be happy to make sure that this is certainly a year of a million (or maybe a few less, like ten or so, lol) dreams for you two.

I am just curious (as I am sure many others are as well) as to some of the other things that the two of you may not have had a chance to do that you would like to? For instance, lunch/dinner at a particular restaurant (excluding club 33 of course), other tours, a night in the grand californian...ect...

I am asking because I assumed most people that live there with AP's have "done it all".
