to the CMs
Me and my daughter will be returning to WDW in May 2008. When we were there in May 2007 we met lots of really pleasant CMs. Although we said thank you when they helped us we wanted to give them something to remember us and how nice they were. What we were wanting to know is what would be something that every CM can use? Something kind of small since we will have to carry them around with us all day. We were thinking of maybe a pen?

Re: to the CMs
I've gotten homemade pins, fulls size M&M's and a treat bag of chocolate. The M&M's were nice, because I saved them until I had a bad day, and ate them to remind me about the nice Guests out there. But something as simple as a printed out note would be nice, that you could keep in your pocket. Plus, I'm always flattered when guests ask to take pictures with me. It makes me feel like a celebrity. Or little toys are nice too. It gives me something to play with when I'm alone in the tower or something, or to play with other guests too. Like toys from party stores for goodie bags. I love it.
Hope you enjoy your trip! I probably won't be working in May, but be good to the Soarin' people. I think sometimes they forget that there are good guests out there. (well some of them, not me.)

Re: to the CMs
May I suggest making up some thank you cards on the computer. We do this and the CM's seem to love them. If you make them out of litewieght cardstock, they are very easy to carry (a wad of 100 weigh less and are smaller then a pack of playing cards) When you design them make them a bit smaller then a regular size business card. You can fit more on a 8.5 x 11 sheet and they dont wrinkle as badly when stuck in a pocket.
We keep the layout simple and the graphics/color to only a few colors and the graphic not complicated as not to take away from the wording. An example may say.................
THANK YOU
For Making Our Day Special
**insert your names here** First name only (safety 1st)
Maybe what state you are from
For the clip art you could use a smiley or a star or some other happy type pic.
Have fun designing.

Green Paper with pictures of dead presidents works well. ;)
;)
All kidding aside, anything that a guest gives me that shows my that they appreciate what we do is fine. I have has kids ask me to autograph their books, I have had kids give me their Mickey Mouse stickers. These really touch my heart as you really know that these kids are doing this on their own.
I am just honored that a guest will take a moment of time out of their day to say thanks (the really heart felt type of thanks).

You can get pens for a low price that are personalized. "Thank you from the Harriman Family" "You made our WDW trip special. The Harrisons"
It should be small enough to rest on a ledge or set in a pocket. I have been with this board and have known CMs. It is nice to know that people appreciate them. Check out the bubble ladies and the thread about their CM gifts.
Enamel pins are cute, pens and credit card sized cards are nice. You could laminate cards about the size of a credit card. Nice fonts and decorations. What I have seen in person and on this site indicates that whatever you do will make a lot of people happy.

If you want to use cards, check out MOO Minicards. They're in the UK. With shipping it's $25 for 100. You get text on one side and your uploaded picture on the other.
