I started to go ahead when another guest started yelling at me that I was cutting in front of her party that was standing around watching the debate. I decided it was not worth the hassle and waited for the debate to end and let her and her party get their FP's checked and get in line. She continued to grumble about my "rude" behavior while in the line. My spouse finally said, "If you're so dumb that you're going to stand there and watch the debate, people are going to get in line ahead of you!" She shut up at that point.

Were we being rude? What should have we done?

For my ride (Buzz) there is no height requirement but it's 7yrs to ride alone or they must have someone who's 16 yrs or older/ or 54 inches...it's the Supervised Child rule...

As far as your question, you got it answered, but I thought I would chime in and agree that you did nothing wrong, and it sounds like your husband knows how to man up... an oft-lost art in today's society. To that person in front of you, I would be asking, "Which is more important? Watching this family not get in because their child is too short, or getting into line?" You are not in line in my opinion until you are within the confines of some sort of queue marking**.

*anyone else who does not exhibit troll-like qualities, unless they're in the physical sense.

**Exception: When the line is so long that it extends beyond what we have queues to handle.

I just saw somewhere official that for a child age 7 or under to ride an attraction they must be accompanied by a person at least 14 years old. Older than Age 7 may ride unaccompanied

Thank you for the warm welcome and the Monorail!!! I do so treasure my Monorail license and so does my son!!! The monorail is one of my favorite things about WDW.

my trip last week, after going for over 35 years lol i was told this with my son but was only mentioned on dumbo...my daughter 16 took my son on all the rides and no one questioned anything until we got to dumbo when they asked her how old she was....never knew lol

both of my kids (with me there) have been able to ride tower of terror since they were 4 tee hee my son ex preemie was able to ride it thanks to orthotics again tee hee but i only used them 1 time :) now at age 6 he is 5 inches taller than the avg 6 yr old :) thankfully i dont have to go on that damn roller coaster....i hate it!!! same w/space mountain...hate it...too fast for me to go in the dark

65 miles per hour, at Test Track.

And as a point of comparison, coaster-wise, Space Mountain in California hits a maximum speed of 32 MPH.
