Simple, uncomplicated and almost never fails. Well, it did once in the early evening one of those famous Florida cloud bursts happened in. In my defense though, it was coming in sideways and such humongous amounts that no poncho in the world would have done anymore than just keep the wet inside it. The storm lasted until I got out to my car and then, as quickly as it started, it stopped!

I blame the people that brought poncho's with them for that. :D:
See, for my family, we always bring our ponchos and it never rains. We leave them at home or at the hotel, and it pours on us....usually when we exit the Tiki room. Weird how that works.

I would have to say that there is no real pattern here. I have been going to WDW, usually once a year, since 1983. On our first trip it rained long enough for us to run inside a store and buy poncho's by the time we got them out of the package and on our backs it stopped and didn't rain again until my trip there in 2008 and that was the night cloudburst I mentioned earlier. Just lucky I guess. I remember a trip in 2002 that was beautiful the entire week and as we drove to the airport for our trip home, it started to pour and from an account from a friend that arrived the day we left...it rained all week.

Just to show that things equal out...we got home just hours before a huge Nor'easter blew into Vermont dumping about 3 feet of snow. I think I would have preferred the rain.

I have learned, at WDW they have the hit and run thunder storms. Some storms that I have gotten caught in have lasted about 1 hour, afterwards it is hot and humid.

There was one year I went with my friends for the halloween party and it was ok. About 1 hour in a storm rolled in and it down poured for at least 2 hours. I had never seen so much rain. There was some really good flood spots in Tomorrowland. We did end up staying. That evening the storm went else where and we were fine.
