A fundamentalist Christian ignoramus. He's the one responsible for 'God Hates Fags' and his 'church,' which consists mainly of his family, are notorious for picketing the funeral of people who have died of AIDS, military funerals, and anything in general that hits their hate buttons. Another forum I'm on has outright banned any discussion of him simply because of the sheer amount of revenge porn he tends to draw (close to 100%.) He's also a lawyer, as are many of his family, but was disbarred due to repeated filing of lawsuits to push forward his agenda of hate.

Basically, he's a sad, ignorant, crazy little man who is threatened by anything at all that's different... (Which is sad, considering his past activities in the civil rights movement of the 60s...)

Westboro Baptist and the Phelps family give Christianity a bad name. They preach hatred, pure and simple. Their picketing of funerals, especially military funerals, is one of the worst things they do. They picket the funerals of the men and women who died defending freedom, the same freedom that allows them to have their protests. I applaud the efforts of the people who counter-protest them (like at ComicCon) and, at funerals, shield the mourners from them (like the Patriot Guard Riders).
