Kind of a good idea, but I can see the near-by home owners concerns. If it were out in the middle of BF nowhere, that would be cool. Of course what the cost would be? Those machines aint cheap to buy/run.

They do say it would be hundreds of dollars to learn and play. If you figure that people spend a hundred plus for a round of golf at some courses, more than that to scuba or sky dive for an afternoon, I suspect at 400$ their would be plenty of takers. Add on a frequent guest program "dig 5 holes and the sixth is free", and it might just be very successful. This is next to Las Vegas after all!

And its a lot more "wholesome" than an afternoon at the chicken ranch for visiting conventioneers ! Maybe even tax deductible as job training for some !

Heres the price list for their Colorado location http://www.digthis.info/tickets-reserva ... tm#Tickets

Diggin holes is one thing. You know damn well some folks would be using the 'stingers/booms' as light-sabers.

I would so do this. Yes, I'd pony up $400 to go play with the giant Tonka toys. You're right about the SCUBA thing; the first ex-Mr. Siren and I paid a good chunk of change for our open water certs. So, if I could pay $400 to get a chance to learn how to drive one of those big orange thingies, I'd do it. :p:

Interesting idea for a business. Will the follow on be named Explode This?

Isn't there already a place like that in Nevada, where one can experience firing military weapons and the like?

Firing weapons is okay but I'm talkin' C4, Claymores, and 55 gallon drums full of black powder that are used for nuclear simulators.

Hooooahhhhhhhhhhh!!
