Sorry to hear that Wombat. I'm sure it must be discouraging after all the practice. Who got the gold? Still Silver is pretty nice on a national level. It's hard to see it right now but that is quite an accomplishment. There's always next year.BRWombat wrote:...and... Silver again. Dang it.

Get everyone to drown their sorrows in the silver foil of Hershey Pa, and eat chocolate. At least the endorphins created will make you happy for a little.

Re: Wombat in Philly
WOW! Thank you all for the great comments and support!
Silver is not ideal -- more so this year since many don't agree with the judges' call -- but we've had some incredible moments this week that outshine any medals. I'll share more when I get home in a few days, but suffice for now to say that I'm disappointed but not at all depressed. I've touched people with music and had a blast with some amazing guys who have become brothers to me, and I come away with a deeper understanding of how very blessed I am in so many ways.
And like some of you have said, silver is still an accomplishment. Gold would be awesome, but I'm coming to terms with the fact that being second best in the world at anything is pretty cool!
More to come later...
