Mom may lose the house.

Post by mechurchlady » Tue Jul 24, 2007 6:30 pm

My friend Cava has worked with me as a friend to get me out of my depression. I am finally back home with Ken and have found him a lot of sweeps that are not in his database. I found them through my site, Sweep Hunter and did not steal from anyone, just my working on my site. I was budgeting my time better and working on my health and had moved my bed into the office, sleep oh sweet sleep.

Today the city notice came and the want the wood trim remove, what ever that is. They was the carport up to code and the house painted. As you know my mother has a birthday in September and I have my 50th in October. I need tires, oil change and more. I and her need new clothes.

I was so happy and now this. I do not know what to do. I do not know how to get the house up to code and if they go inside the house then it would mean over $15,000 in repairs and possibly them condemning the house. I do not want to put affiliates on Sweep Hunter and nobody goes there. I was stress free and for once standing up straight with shoulders squared. I cannot handle stress and have been working really hard to get as far as I have gotten.

I have the original inspection in 1963 but where I do not know. I told my mom to sell the house when the market was booming. We could live in Georgia, Texas or the Carolinas in a home for real cheap. I have been working on getting rid of stuff and organizing but am not ready to move but could move in a day if need be. I am so confused and hugs will do for now. I do not know what to do.

I called the pastor's wife and they will not help, no real friends, no neighbors and I called the city with no answer. Mom is stubborn and will not move but I know my city and they will later go after the garage and then the back window then the front window then the yard and water heater then they will try to go for the interior. We are talking total repairs over $20,000 when they get done inspecting and if they see the roof make it $30,000.

Hugs from a furry wallaby. I'm sorry to hear about this. :(

Sending thoughts, prayers and pixie dust your way.

I was looking at over 50 homes for $49,000 in Georgia and all were 3 bedrooms and a bath while some had 4 bedrooms and two baths. I want to sell and make a home a mansion with new stuff for once but she will not leave California so we sit in squalor and misery.

I cannot find my teddy bear so I will snug and hug a Wallaby. I am so lost right now.

Hey Churchy, sorry to hear about that :( We'll keep you in our prayers and also pray that your Mom will see that she can have a better home environment if she was to move. *hugs*

hugs churchy! This is such a horrible situation to be in. Hopefully your mom will come around and realize that moving is the best option overall. Try to keep your chin up.

Thank you. My friend says chin up and I try but I do not understand how someone could be so scared or stubborn that they would not take a chance to live like a queen with servants, pretty plants, and maybe a few deers.

I want and pray that I could move to Athens Georgia area.
I am trying to keep my chin up but am seeing signs that I am going back to the darkness.

I talked to the city and did research. I could buy in Galveston one of about 50 properties that could be torn down or rehabbed for under $100,000. In Athens Georgia area I found within 40 miles over 100 homes under $50,000 and with another $50,000 could make a state of the art mansion.

I am working with the city employee and they might do grants but still I doubt that they could do anything. In the end if she does not move and cannot pay then they could take the house to pay the fines and put her in jail for 6 months per infraction.

I know she loves me but she never really considers my health and well being. I will stand in pain, bent over and she will demand more and more chores be done. I want to move so bad but love this area. I need a car and so much but she will not listen.

Thanks for the prayers and love and stuff. I am struggling to stay out of the darkness.

Hey Churchy, remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel of darkness, and it's not a train, but if it turns out it is a train, there is a good chance it is Zazu and he will be leading a whole bunch of us to your rescue :)

They said we have to demolish the carport. Maybe get a grant but that I know will not happens. Mom wants to live in squallor but does not seem to understand or care that they could put her in jail or take the house from her.

I have spent over a year caring for her and she does not see me in pain or stress out. I wish the light at the end of the tunnel was Wallaby to run me over and end this all.

Thanks and hugs.
