We won't be using this. I do use it for my Universal and SeaWorld passes, but I think I'd miss the renewal rate too much to change. Also, why pay by month when I've got the money available anyhow?

Present value of normal year pass: $392.99
Present value of monthly pass with MARR of 1%:
$84.14 + $266.86 = $351
So if you can get 1% interest on your money somewhere, you save $40 by going monthly. Slap $300 in a 1 year CD instead of spending it on the AP and you will come out ahead.

But, I will lose the money I typically save by renewing instead of buying new. The information I read about the pass said you cannot renew, and the cost month to month is the same as a straightforward purchase of a new AP.you save $40 by going monthly
The current cost of a new Florida resident premium AP is $526.11. My renewal cost for the same pass is $483.51, a savings of $42.60. So, there's not really any benefit for me.
As it stands now, my passes expire during tax season. I always get a sizeable return, and can use part of that money to purchase my passes. It works for me, and it's pretty painless. Now, I just have to work harder on getting hired at WDW to eliminate the need for my pass!
