Once upon a time, a writer came up with a neat little science fiction short story, all about a human writing a report on a recent happening on a planet where the inhabitants were all sentient plant life, while the "trees" were actually immobile primitive animals. Their had been a recent rash of attacks, where the victims were all drained of their sap. When they caught this "sap-sucker" and killed it, several superstitious-types demanded that a certain precaution be taken: it was to be buried with a steak through its heart.

When the story was publishes, an over-eager editor caught the "spelling mistake", corrected it, and ruined the pun.
 I don't get it.

Yes I see the spellings but still don't get it.

This past winter at DHS one day in Christmas Week about 11:30 I was "Map Greeter" (hanging around the map holders to keep them full and talk to Guests, which is much better than just standing at a turnstile). A couple of people asked me if I could suggest a good sit-down restaurant in the Park for lunch.

I told them that more than likely all reservations were booked, but they could go into Guest Relations to see if anything was available. However, I also told them that if they went to any of the quick service locations they would probably not have more than a half hour wait to get to the counter.

We were at a Stage I closing at that time!

That could be Bengal Barbecue in Adventureland.

Or what is behind curtain #3?

Curtain # 3 is the famous turkey carts through out the parks. :D:

Fried butter, anyone? Or maybe some chocolate-covered bacon? Not a staple at our state fair here, but we do have deep-fried Moon Pies, cheeseburgers, Coke, cheesecake, Twinkies, ice cream, and that old standby, pickles.

the Del mar fair is going on here in San Diego, and every year a local TV news reporter does a show on the "deep fried" everything available.

last year it was the deep fried krispie kreme double patty cheeseburger.

this year he talked about the deep fried butter, and just about anything else you could think of!

Mmmmmm!!!

Deep fried snickers are good. :) My friend and I split one at the Orange County Fair last summer.

Deep fried butter. Had it at the State Fair of Texas last year. Just like a dinner roll with butter. It was good. Not as good as chicken fried bacon...
