Perfect comeback for SG parents

Post by felinefan » Tue Jul 24, 2007 7:10 pm

Okay, we've all had times when a kid is misbehaving on a ride or elsewhere in the park, and when you try to tell the kid to behave, the SG parent is right in your face screaming "Don't you tell my kid what to do!" Or the other one is, "You don't have kids, you don't know anything!" Wonder how they react if a CM says they are, in fact, a parent! The premise of this is that SG parents think nobody else has the right to tell them what to do, so here goes:
CM: Please remain seated at all times until the ride has come to a complete stop. (Or whatever the deal is.)
SGP: You don't tell my kid what to do! You don't have kids, what do you know? They're kids, let them have fun! (More along this line)
CM: Excuse me, but may I ask you something? Is your OB/GYN a man or a woman? Just asking.
SGP:Huh? A man, why?
CM: You said that nobody tells you how to parent, right? Well, you went to an OB/GYN for your prenatal care, right? If your male doctor can't have kids, how can he be qualified on matters that are exclusively female? (And if the OB/GYN is female :) Your female OB/GYN is unlikely to have kids of her own, so how can she tell you what to expect during a pregnancy when she herself has never been pregnant?(Female doctors, regardless of specialty, because of the time required for their education, training and practice, virtually never have time to become parents themselves.) Therefore, since I know more about this ride than you do, and preventing an accident is part of my job. Your job is to keep your kid safe and teach them to make wise decisions. The laws of physics apply no matter who you are, or if your kid has been on this ride 'a thousand times'. So, therefore, I DO have the right to tell your kid how to behave, because unless you homeschool your kid, you let other strangers such as teachers and coaches tell your kid how to behave. And even if you homeschool your kid, you have to teach them how to behave in society. Now, unless you want me to call security to escort you out of the park, which means you can't return, or call Child Protective Services, you need to tell your kid to behave and obey the rules. Just because they're a kid doesn't mean they don't get to disobey the rules. Agreed?
SGP:Duhhhh.....

Okay, I know that's wordy, but you get my drift. If they start screaming and being belligerent, call security. In case of male parent, ask if his wife used an OB/GYN during her pregnancy. Even if they delivered at home or in the car, or used a doula (look it up), at some time or other, a woman has to have medical checkups during pregnancy. I'll let you use your imagination in dealing with smartasses who say no, they didn't go to the doctor, they don't believe in education  --obviously!--or other remarks. If they go to city hall to complain, be sure to tell them the name on your tag isn't yours, and give them a fake name. Give them a real magical day by making total asses of themselves-- that sounds like a great idea for a shirt or button: "I made an ass of myself at Disneyland." :D:

Intersting stat on the female doctor, I have a female doctor (small hands, you young guys will learn about this later) She has four kids. No wonder its hard to get an appointment, and all this time I just thought it was Kaiser.
