The Birds!!!!
Just back from a great week at WDW. All the cast members were great. Thanks to all of you that put up with the heat and the people! One thing that really pisses me off anymore is the feeding of the birds. I would go out on the ground floor patio off of my room at the Boardwalk and everyday there would be bread or pizza crust in the grass and bushes. So not only are the birds swarming but there are droppings from rodents on the patio. I don't even want to start on the SGs when we would eat on the Boardwalk. I mean even the napkins say don't feed the damn birds! I guess I should just put up with it since they are paying good money to vacation down there.
For now I will just shut up and take cover!

Thats nothing, wait until you try to eat fast food outdoors and a bird grabs the food right out of your hands.tzvdmd wrote:Just back from a great week at WDW. All the cast members were great. That happened to me too! I managed to swat the bird on the chest. Sea World employee who saw it didn't bat an eye.darph nader wrote:Sounds like Sea World. Years ago,I'm trying to feed a dolphin and this friggin seagull swoops down and takes the fish outta my hand. (little asshole)

Re: The Birds!!!!
I remember being at the beach one time and a SG family behind us was continually walking on the dunes, feeding the seagulls, basically doing everything they weren't supposed to do (you know, rules don't apply to them - their on vaca). Anyway, lunchtime comes and the dad opens his sandwhich from the baggie - a seagull swooped down and ripped it from his hands as he was about to take a bite! Can you say Karma?!? :D:
And about the feeding the birds thing....I feel I have to apologize. We stayed at Riverside the last week in September and brought my mother in law with us (her first trip out of NJ in 16 years). I swear, if she fed one duck, she fed a hundred....but at least it was ONLY ducks. And we (hubby and I) kept yelling at her to stop, but she pretended not to hear us. When she did it at AK, I ripped the baggy of goldfish from her hand and told her to "stop it right now". THAT finally got her attention. I mean, feeding ducks in the water surrounding the hotel I can kinda see (we feed the geese at our local pond this way), but feeding ducks where other people are walking totally ticked me off. She was pissed at me for awhile and wanted to go back to the hotel, but hubby told her to shake it off and deal with it - she was the one who did something wrong.
