And he lived in one of the coolest houses ever.GaTechGal wrote:And don't forget - he was Willard Whyte in "Diamonds are Forever".

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

geez, I hope he didn't die from living off his sausages.
I think it's time to switch to panckaes for me.

Good God...even if he did...he was 81 years old. How long do you think life expectancy is? If he did eat his own products regularly that bodes pretty well for it. Couldn't have done him too much harm.drcorey wrote:geez, I hope he didn't die from living off his sausages.

Re: Jimmy Dean will not be down for breakfast
As a "new guy" in my chorus (I've only been in the group for three years!), I just found out that Jimmy Dean had a history with the Vocal Majority. He and our director were friends, and Dean even MC'd a few shows for us.
And this story from a fellow VM'er:
My one Jimmy Dean story took place in the Virginians' (chorus) dressing room for one of our shows. I was kid (maybe 15 or 16 at the time) and I was attracted to Jimmy's belt buckle. It was very shiny and sparkly. He noticed that it had caught my eye and so he motioned me over and took the buckle off and handed it to me.
The buckle must have weighed several pounds and had 5 rows of diamonds going around in a circle pattern around the buckle and in the middle were larger diamonds that spelled out his initials "JD". He then announced to the entire dressing room that the only reason he was letting me examine his belt buckle was because he was certain that I would never have the opportunity to hold a $100,000 belt buckle in my lifetime.
An interesting man he was...
